CSEA Endorses Jamie Romeo for Re-Election

(ROCHESTER, NY --) The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) has proudly endorsed Jamie Romeo for re-election as Monroe County Clerk, recognizing her exceptional leadership and dedication to public service. According to CSEA Monroe County Unit President Holly Roth, "Romeo has been a significant partner in government, frequently listening to the concerns of employees and working to ensure that they have the resources necessary to succeed in their roles."

Steve Healy, CSEA Western Region President, praised Romeo's intelligence, strong work ethic, and innovative thinking, which have been instrumental in advancing the Clerk's Office. Healy noted that "Romeo's leadership has not only improved services for the public but has also ensured a positive working environment for the employees represented by CSEA. This combination of dedication to both the workforce and the community has made her a trusted ally of CSEA."

For these reasons, CSEA believes that re-electing Jamie Romeo will ensure continued progress and stability in Monroe County's public services, which is why the union firmly stands behind her.

“I am beyond humbled and proud to have the endorsement of CSEA in my re-election of County Clerk,” Romeo stated. “CSEA has been a vital partner, not only through navigating the pandemic and reopening early in my tenure but as we continue to shape a new vision of the County Clerk’s Office. Without the work that this team does every day, entire sectors of our local economy would grind to a halt, courts would not be able to properly function, and vital State ID services would be inaccessible. Today, and every day, I am honored to work with this team of public servants on behalf of our community and am excited of what we will accomplish together in the next 4 years.”

CSEA is one of New York’s largest worker unions, allowing workers the opportunity to come together collectively to build power and improve our work and home lives.
