Jamie Romeo is a lifelong resident of the Town of Irondequoit, proud mother of Dominic, and refers to herself as a proud Democrat. She served as the New York State Assemblywoman representing the 136th District (Brighton, City of Rochester, Irondequoit) in the NYS Legislature until early 2020. Governor Cuomo appointed Jamie to fill the job of Monroe County Clerk when the position became vacant. She is now on this year's ballot for the position.
Jamie has been serving this community in numerous capacities; including as the past as MCDC Chairwoman, Chief of Staff in the New York State Senate, and long-time staffer to the Monroe County Legislature.
Jamie is a graduate from St. John Fisher College cum laude through the Service Scholar Program, and received her Masters in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport.
