“This week has thrust our community in a national spotlight, and we cannot afford to turn away when the injustices we protest happen in our own streets. Daniel Prude was a man in need of help. When his family called for help, even then they feared the worst. The videos released of his final conscious moments on this earth are horrifying and shattering. I am thankful for Attorney General Letitia James’ ongoing investigation but more remains to be done. To be the change we seek, we must all use our power to call for justice and change.”
